GARY URBAN has been with Hawks since 1992. Gary is a registered Landscape Architect and the Vice President of landscape sales for the company. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Gary is knowledgeable in all areas of residential and commercial design and installation. His interests are in the area of lake property, low maintenance and natural landscape projects, as well as patio and masonry features in the garden. "There is at least one solution for every landscape problem - the challenge and excitement of design is finding that solution." |

STEVE HYLAND is a Registered Landscape Architect and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Steve has been in the landscape industry since 1976 and has been with The Hawks Nursery Company since 1983. As a senior member of the staff, Steve has been successful in developing creative and innovative landscape solutions for homeowners as well as commercial clients. His main focus has always been to develop artistic, yet functional spaces that people can live in, be inspired by, and enjoy. Watching a homeowner re-discover the beauty of their landscape is Steve’s final goal. |
JUDY CURRY is a Landscape Designer and has been with Hawks since 2002. With 20 years of experience in the landscape industry she is knowledgeable in all aspects of residential design and installation. Judy focuses on listening to the needs and desires of her clients, allowing her to create an environment that best reflects the personality of the homeowner. |

CINDY SCHULTZ Since 1997, Cindy has been helping Hawks customers achieve their landscape goals. She enjoys the challenge of modifying landscapes to create dynamic living spaces that complement her clients' lifestyles and personality. Cindy pays attention to the smallest details and excels at adding the finishing touches that extend a home into the surrounding landscape. |

EVA CULLEN "You are a product of your environment and the environment is a product of you, so let's treat it with thought, respect, and care". Let's give back a little of the beauty nature has given us with landscape design. Eva Cullen joined the Hawks Design team in the summer of 2005. She graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2003. Her experience includes residential design and installation, zoological, botanical, state park, high-end residential, and sustainable design work. Her passion is to create inspiring and unique spaces that will not only satisfy the needs of the client, but create a lasting emotional impact. |

ANDREA ORLOWSKI has been in the landscape industry since 1996. With a degree in Landscape Horticulture, A. J. focuses on designing landscapes that are low maintenance yet high impact, which she feels is best achieved by providing an ever-changing palette of color throughout the season. A. J. enjoys approaching each project as a unique opportunity to create an intimate space that is meaningful to the client. |

LAURA SPENCER A graduate of UW-Madison’s Landscape Architecture program, Laura joined Hawks design team in 2006, bringing a marked enthusiasm for designing spaces that foster communion with nature and elevate the spirit. She loves working with people to create unique, personally meaningful outdoor living spaces. She believes everybody needs access to places “where nature may heal and give strength to the body and soul alike.” (John Muir) |
LYNN CARLSON has been in the green industry in the Milwaukee area since 1991. A graduate of the Horticulture program at MATC, she has been with Hawks since 1994. Lynn's long-time love for plants began as just a hobby, but soon grew into a successful career. From full renovations to small self-installs, she enjoys working with the client from start to finish. "Landscape designs involve creativity, imagination and a strong knowledge base. Clients come to us for innovative ideas and problem solving. I love the challenge." |

KATHERINE BANASZAK has been a landscape designer with Hawks Nursery since 2004. A graduate of MATC in the horticulture with an emphasis in landscape design, she has quickly become a strong and thorough landscape designer. Prior to working at Hawks, Katie gained hands on experience by working in the field. Her knowledge of horticulture, along with her attention to detail, aids in her ability to assist clients with there needs. She is a great asset to the Retail Design team. |
REBECCA VOELKER joined the design team at Hawks in 2007, bringing previous horticulture and design work experience. She received her bachelor's from Concordia University-Wisconsin in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in Landscape Horticulture. "I love my job ! It is so rewarding to make people happy by providing them with a beautiful, sustainable landscape which they can enjoy year round." |

TIM CARY came to Hawks in 2006 following a successful career in academia and the non-profit sectors. He understands that the most important part of the design process is to listen. "Whether the project is large or small, it is my goal to connect my clients with their landscape and the environment in a simple, elegant way. We achieve this through the effective use of plants with interesting color, texture, size, form and seasonal interest. I especially enjoy designs that use native plants to attract wildlife."

JOE KRESL is a registered Landscape Architect and owner/president of The Hawks Nursery Company in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Joe earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1977 and a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Geography in 1971 from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He has worked in the industry since 1975. Joe is a strong civic leader and community supporter, active on many boards and charitable organizations. His leadership includes the Brookfield Rotary Club, past President of the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce (WSCC), Executive Board member and past President of the Associate Board of the Zoological Society of Milwaukee (ZSM), Chairman of the Platypus Society Steering Committee, a member of the President's Advisory Council of Froedtert Hospital, Advisory Board member of Gateway College, President Elect of the West Suburban YMCA, and member of the Seeds of Growth Advisory Committee for Nehemiah. Among numerous landscape architecture and design awards, Joe has received awards for community service, including the Ovation Award for Leadership from the Business Journal and Milwaukee Magazine, the Elephus Maximus Award for exceptional effort and support of the Zoological Society, the Corporate Friend of the Year Award from the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Past Presidents' Club Award for outstanding service to the community from the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce, and many others. Originally from Oak Brook, Illinois, Joe grew up in a rural setting and was fascinated by the outdoors. His family, being avid gardeners, sparked his interest in plants at a young age. That interest carries through in his life today. In his free time, Joe enjoys traveling, sailing, skiing, boating, and camping with his wife and two children. |
